Breast Surgery in Istanbul

Individual surgical planning focused on proportion, health, safety and personal goals.

Treatment overview

A personal plan, from consultation to recovery

Breast surgery may be considered for volume, shape, symmetry, physical discomfort or male breast enlargement. The consultation explores your health, anatomy, desired change, future plans and the long-term implications of implants, scars and tissue ageing.

Important

Information on this page is general. Suitability, alternatives, risks and expected outcomes can only be assessed by a qualified physician who has reviewed your health and examined you.

Treatment options

The most appropriate option depends on diagnosis, anatomy, health and goals. A treatment name alone is not a recommendation.

Breast augmentation
Breast reduction
Breast lift
Gynecomastia surgery

Who may be considered?

These points describe common assessment themes, not automatic eligibility:

  • Adults with stable health and realistic expectations
  • Patients considering volume, lift, reduction or symmetry changes
  • People able to understand implant or scar follow-up needs
  • Patients able to follow recovery restrictions

Before you travel

Your surgeon reviews medical and breast history, previous imaging, pregnancy and breastfeeding history, medications, smoking and family history where relevant. Age- and risk-appropriate breast imaging may be requested before surgery.

What the procedure pathway involves

The operation may involve implants, removal and reshaping of tissue, lifting, liposuction or a combination. The surgeon explains incision location, implant considerations if relevant, expected scars, anaesthesia and how the plan relates to your proportions.

Recovery and follow-up

Swelling, bruising, tightness and temporary changes in sensation can occur. You receive support-garment, wound-care, sleeping and activity guidance. Follow-up assesses healing and explains when work, exercise and travel can resume.

Planning your visit: Your surgeon and coordinator confirm a suitable hospital, follow-up and travel schedule after assessment.

Safety and considerations

Risks vary by procedure and may include bleeding, infection, scarring, asymmetry, altered sensation, healing problems, implant-related complications or further surgery. Breast implants are not lifetime devices and require ongoing awareness and follow-up.

Common questions

Breast Surgery FAQ

How is implant size selected?

Selection considers anatomy, tissue quality, chest dimensions, goals and implant characteristics. The aim is a medically and proportionally appropriate plan, not a cup-size promise.

Can a lift be performed without implants?

A breast lift can sometimes be performed without implants. Whether added volume is appropriate depends on tissue, shape and your goals.

Will breast surgery affect screening?

You should continue age- and risk-appropriate breast screening and tell imaging professionals about previous surgery or implants. Your surgeon provides individual guidance.

When can I fly after breast surgery?

The timing depends on the operation, clot risk and your recovery. Return travel should follow the clinical team’s procedure-specific advice.
